We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic special school in Chigwell. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ learning and well-being, working closely with the teaching staff to provide tailored assistance. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the teaching staff in delivering lessons and interventions.
- Assist students with special educational needs in their learning and development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to enhance student engagement.
- Help with the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
- Monitor student progress and report observations to the teaching team.
- Support the social and emotional well-being of students.
- Encourage independence and build students’ confidence.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role (desirable but not essential).
- A positive, empathetic, and patient approach to working with children.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant certificate, are advantageous but not required.
