We are excited to offer an outstanding opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist to join a dedicated special school in Kennington. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and delivering therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs of students. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and deliver tailored speech and language therapy interventions for students.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to provide holistic support.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of students, adapting therapeutic approaches as necessary.
- Build strong relationships with students and families, ensuring inclusive and effective communication strategies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate records of assessments and interventions in line with school policies.
- Promote safeguarding and the welfare of all students.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Speech and Language Therapy or an equivalent qualification.
- Registration with HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council).
- Experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a positive approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
