We are delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join a dedicated special school in Chelmsford. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions to support the communication development of students with additional needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored speech and language therapy sessions to meet the needs of individual students.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure a cohesive support plan.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, adapting interventions as needed.
- Contribute to the development of individual education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress.
- Provide guidance and training to staff to promote effective communication strategies within the school.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment to help students achieve their potential.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Speech and Language Therapy or an equivalent qualification.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience working with children or young people with additional needs is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting the well-being and development of students.
