We are excited to offer a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate and skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join a thriving special school in Vauxhall. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will assess, plan, and deliver tailored interventions to support students' communication development and overall well-being. Working closely with staff and external professionals, you will play a vital role in ensuring each student achieves their potential in an inclusive and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and deliver speech and language therapy sessions tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to create cohesive support plans.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, adapting interventions as needed.
- Contribute to the development of individual education plans (IEPs) and provide advice on effective communication strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments and therapy sessions in line with school policies.
- Provide guidance and training to staff to promote communication-friendly practices across the school.
- Uphold safeguarding policies to ensure the welfare of all students.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Speech and Language Therapy or an equivalent qualification.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience working with children with communication needs is desirable but not essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting students.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
