We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a supportive special school in Lewisham. As an SEN Teacher, you will play a key role in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment tailored to meet the unique needs of your students. Whether you have prior experience or are seeking to embark on your journey in SEN education, this role offers both support and professional growth to help you thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of students with SEN.
- Work closely with support staff and external professionals to develop and implement tailored learning plans.
- Assess and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
- Foster a positive and nurturing classroom environment that promotes mutual respect and student well-being.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and carers to ensure collaborative support.
- Contribute to the school’s ethos, promoting an inclusive and supportive environment.
- Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding practices in line with school policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A genuine interest in working with students with SEN and a commitment to their success.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Patience, adaptability, and a proactive attitude.
- Previous experience in SEN education is desirable but not essential.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
