As an SEN Class Teacher, you will deliver high-quality, tailored lessons to students with diverse needs, creating an inclusive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that are differentiated to meet the individual needs of students with SEN.
- Work closely with teaching assistants and other support staff to provide a cohesive learning experience.
- Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring lessons are adapted to promote growth and achievement.
- Foster a positive and nurturing classroom environment that encourages learning and mutual respect.
- Collaborate with parents, carers, and external professionals to support the holistic development of students.
- Uphold the school’s policies on safeguarding, equality, and inclusion.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of school initiatives aimed at enhancing student learning.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to teaching.
- Previous experience in SEN education is desirable but not essential.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
