Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to students with SEMH needs.
- Create a calm and consistent learning environment focused on progress and inclusion.
- Support the personal development and emotional well-being of all pupils.
- Use a trauma-informed approach to behaviour management and relationship-building.
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, contributing to reviews and EHCPs.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to ensure consistent support.
- Participate in whole-school planning, CPD, and development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching in SEMH, PRU, or alternative provision is desirable but not essential.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Resilience, creativity, and a calm, patient approach.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to inclusive education and the belief that every pupil can succeed.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed practice and de-escalation strategies is advantageous.
