Are you a dedicated and compassionate Primary Teacher ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking a motivated SEMH Primary Teacher to join an innovative SEMH School in Vauxhall. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across the primary curriculum tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEMH challenges.
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being and academic achievement.
- Use innovative teaching strategies to inspire confidence, resilience, and a love for learning in students.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals to support holistic student development.
- Monitor and assess student progress, using data to adapt teaching methods and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster strong communication with families, sharing updates on student progress and collaborating on strategies to support learning at home.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture.
Qualifications and Experience
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- A good first degree in a core subject.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Experience teaching in an SEMH or SEN setting.
- Additional training or qualifications related to SEMH/SEN.
- A reflective and creative approach to teaching and learning.
