We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Primary Teacher to join a vibrant special school in Braintree. This permanent, full-time position offers competitive pay rates of £185–£245 per day and is an excellent opportunity for an educator passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with moderate learning difficulties (MLD).
As a Primary Teacher in this nurturing setting, you will deliver engaging and tailored lessons to meet the unique needs of each student. Working closely with a dedicated team of support staff, you will foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every learner can thrive. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organisational skills, with a genuine desire to help students achieve their full potential. Experience in teaching students with MLD is desirable but not essential, as professional development opportunities will be available to support your growth in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of students with MLD.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and personal development.
- Assess, record, and report on student progress, implementing strategies to support individual needs.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to deliver a holistic approach to education.
- Establish strong relationships with students, parents, and carers to ensure the best outcomes for learners.
- Promote the safeguarding and well-being of all students.
- Support the school ethos and policies, contributing to the wider school community.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A genuine interest in working with children with moderate learning difficulties (MLD).
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude toward challenges.
- Previous experience in SEN education is desirable but not essential.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
