Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEMH challenges.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes teamwork, resilience, and physical well-being.
- Encourage student participation and develop confidence in physical activity through innovative and adaptive teaching methods.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to support both personal and academic development.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student well-being.
- Uphold the school’s ethos, values, and commitment to high-quality education.
- Organise and lead extracurricular activities and sports programs to enhance the student experience.
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant qualifications or experience in physical education instruction.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable:
- Experience teaching in an SEMH or SEN setting.
- Knowledge of strategies to support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- Creativity and flexibility in delivering a range of physical activities.
