SENDirect, a specialist recruitment agency for education and family support roles, is seeking a compassionate Family Support Worker to join a primary school in Basildon. This is a full-time role, initially offered on a temporary basis with the potential to become permanent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide practical and emotional support to families, guiding them through school and community resources.
- Work with children, parents, and carers to assess and address family needs.
- Collaborate with external agencies to ensure families receive necessary support.
- Maintain records and contribute to safeguarding protocols.
- Support families in building resilience and positive outcomes for children.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience in family support roles, ideally within a school setting.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding policies and multi-agency work.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, compassionate approach.
