Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons tailored to students with SEMH needs.
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that fosters emotional and academic growth.
- Work collaboratively with support staff and external professionals to ensure holistic development.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting strategies as needed.
- Support students in developing self-confidence, communication skills, and emotional resilience.
- Contribute to the wider school community, promoting a positive and inclusive ethos.
Qualifications and Experience
- A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent) is essential.
- Experience teaching English and/or working with students with SEMH needs is desirable but not essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, staff, and parents effectively.
- A patient and empathetic approach, with the ability to build trust and rapport.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Flexibility, resilience, and a positive mindset to adapt to a dynamic and rewarding school environment.
