We are seeking a dedicated Class Teacher to join a supportive SEMH School in South Woodham. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver well-structured lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEMH challenges.
- Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment to support learning and emotional regulation.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting strategies to ensure individual success.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic support for students.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies in line with the school’s ethos and policies.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, contributing to reports for families and external professionals.
- Engage in school-wide activities and initiatives, including extracurricular programs.
Qualifications and Experience
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Experience teaching in SEMH or SEN settings.
- Further training or qualifications related to SEMH or SEN.
- Knowledge of strategies to engage students with diverse and complex needs.
